Our cycle group is set up for all service users who are willing to learn and enjoy cycling, our aim is:
Learn to cycle on roads and trails by understanding road safety.
Promote positive mental and physical well being by getting out on your bike.
Learn to look after your bike through cycle maintenance & mechanic classes.
Benefits of Cycling
Cycling is low impact exercise that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Regular cycling has many physical and mental health benefits. It is one of the best ways to reduce your risk of health problems such as stroke, heart attack, some cancers, depression, diabetes, obesity and arthritis.
Service Users and staff constructed our own workshop which is a great area to carry out our ongoing cycle maintenance work.
Bike Ability Training
We have been working in partnership with Dawson Bike Club who have put our members through the Bike Ability Level Training Level 1 and 2.
